COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Pan Frying
1. Thaw frozen sausage overnight in chiller or 1 hour at ambient temperature.
2. In a pan, place 3/4 cup water for a 250 g pack of sausage. Heat over medium flame.
3. Cut sausage between links and place in the pan with water. Let simmer, turning from time to time, until the outer surface has set and the water has almost evaporated (approximately 10 minutes).
4. Using kitchen shears or tongs, remove the casing by cutting the ends of the sausage. Take extra care as juices may come out.
5. Continue cooking, turning and rubbing the sausage against the pan until coated with caramelized sugar.
6. Cooking time is 15 to 20 minutes for a 250 g pack. Adjust cooking time if more sausages are prepared.
7. Remove from pan when sausages are golden brown and slightly caramelized. Serve while warm.
